Small links, honest measurement. This page explains what a mega.dev/s/{code} link does when you follow it.

One namespace, immutable codes

A shortlink lives at mega.dev/s/{code}. The code is lowercase, and it never changes. If a destination has to move, we mint a new code and disable the old one — old links keep their history instead of quietly meaning something else.

Attribution rides along

Following a link stamps campaign fields (utm_*, ref, em_id, paid click IDs) onto the destination and sets a 90-day first-party cookie naming the exact link you followed. If you later join the waitlist, that signup is joined to the real link — by ID, not by guessing from matching UTM values.

Receipts, not counters

There is no click counter column. Every follow emits one structured event with the outcome, the sanitized destination, and the effective campaign fields — nothing personal, no raw IDs. Counts are questions you ask the event stream, not numbers a row claims.

Agent-operated

Links are created, listed, updated, and disabled through the MEGA operator API, the mega CLI, and MCP tools — the same typed surface agents use. Every mutation returns a receipt. There is no admin UI, and that is on purpose.
